Duane was born in the USA but has lived about a third of his life in Colombia, México, Scotland, Spain and the Middle East. His areas of interest are church history, missionary history, theology, religious conversion studies and Anglican spirituality. He is married with three children.
He presently serves as an Anglican priest in Madrid, associate professor at the Protestant Faculty of Theology at Madrid, and founding co-pastor at Kanisa, an Arabic-language Christian fellowship (in Arabic: الكنيسة المسيحية في مدريد). Duane holds a PhD in Divinity (focus, World Christianity) from the University of Edinburgh.
